Shipping

  • Yes, I ship across the UK and internationally.

  • Postage and packaging for orders within the UK cost a flat rate of £6.45. International costs vary, please check at checkout.

    • Original artworks typically takes 2–4 working days. International shipping depends on destination but typically takes 5–14 working days. Newer pieces may take longer due to longer drying times, in these cases the customer will be informed of the estimated delivery time.

    • Fine art prints are sent through my print on demand provider. Delivery in the UK typically takes 3–7 working days. International shipping depends on destination but typically takes 4–15 working days. Print orders come with live parcel tracking.

  • If you're ordering from outside the UK, your country may charge customs duties, import tax, or handling fees on arrival. These aren't included in your order total and are your responsibility to pay. I can't predict what these will be, as they vary by country. It's worth checking with your local customs office if you're unsure.

    • Original artworks are individually wrapped and packaged with extra protective materials suited to the size and medium of the piece.

    • Fine art prints are shipped flat or rolled in a rigid, protective mailer to prevent bending or damage in transit.

    • Fine art prints ship within 3 working days.

    • Original artworks ship within 5 working days, to allow time for careful packaging. Newer pieces may take longer due to longer drying times, in these cases the customer will be informed of the estimated delivery time.

  • Yes, you'll receive a tracking link by email once your order ships.

Returns & Refunds

  • Yes. Prints can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they're in their original, unused condition. Contact me at emma.holmes.art@gmail.com to arrange a return.

  • Original artworks are final sale and can't be returned or exchanged, as each is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. This doesn't affect your rights if the piece arrives damaged or faulty (see below).

  • If you're returning a print because you've changed your mind, return shipping is at your own cost. If the item arrived damaged or faulty, I'll cover return shipping.

  • Please contact me within 3 days of delivery at emma.holmes.art@gmail.com, with photos of the damaged item and packaging. I'll arrange a replacement, repair, or refund as appropriate. This applies to both prints and original artworks. Damage-in-transit isn't covered by the "final sale" policy on originals.

  • Once a return or damage claim is approved and (if applicable) the item has returned to me, refunds are processed within 3–5 working days back to your original payment method.

Prints

  • High-quality Giclée fine art print reproductions of my original artworks. Printed with archival pigment inks on premium 310gsm Hahnemühle German Etching paper, a beautifully textured matte paper with a slightly warm tone that produces rich colours and a high-quality finish.

    Each artwork comes with an exclusive Certificate of Authenticity (COA).

  • Currently, all of my fine art prints are open edition.

  • Prints are colour-matched as closely as possible, but slight variation is normal due to differences between screens and printed materials, and between devices generally.

Original Artworks

  • Yes, every original is a unique piece. Once it's sold, it isn't reproduced or resold as an "original" again (it may still be available as a print, if listed).

  • Yes, each original comes with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.

Commissions

  • Yes! You can view more details on my commissions page and get in touch at emma.holmes.art@gmail.com with your ideas and I'll let you know if it's something I can take on.

  • 1. Initial consultation period to discuss size, medium, and concept.

    2. I'll send a quote and estimated timeline.

    3. A 50% deposit secures your commission slot.

    4. I'll share progress updates and one round of revisions before the final piece is completed.

  • Yes, commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin work, with the balance due before shipping.

  • A timeline will be determined during the consultation period, and is dependant on size, complexity, and my current workload. This can often range from 3–8 weeks.

  • One round of revisions is included once I share initial sketches/progress. Significant changes to the brief after work has begun may affect the timeline or cost.

  • Commissions can be cancelled however, once the deposit has been paid the work is underway so the deposit is non-refundable.

Payment

  • All major debit/credit cards, plus PayPal, via secure checkout.

  • GBP (£). International customers will see this converted at checkout by their card provider or bank, and may be subject to currency conversion fees.

Copyright & Usage

  • Purchasing a print or original gives you ownership of the physical artwork, but I retain the copyright and reproduction rights to the image itself. This means the artwork can't be reproduced, printed, or used commercially without my permission. Commission pieces will not be reproduced.

  • Absolutely! I'd love for you to share photos of the piece in your home. I just ask that you credit me when you do.
